Building the Rotary Dream Home is always fun, but there’s more to it than that. Each year our teams design a home that can accommodate over 100,000 pairs of feet walking through it – think Ikea chair testing machine on a mini doughnut sugar high – a section-by-section disassemble of the home, a 25 km move, and then the re-assemble at its permanent location. But it doesn’t stop there. The home has to be luxurious and trendsetting in a way that gets the Stampede-goers abuzz and purchasing tickets, tickets that benefit the Rotary Club of South Calgary.

The Rotary Club of South Calgary is the direct beneficiary of all Dream Home ticket sales, from which, a great number of local charitable organizations subsequently receive funds. A few charities that are further supported by the Dream Home are:

Providence Child Development Society, Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured, Inn from the Cold, Hospice Calgary, Meals on Wheels, Feed the Hungry, Women in Need, and the Mustard Seed of Calgary.
